Part of a group of negatives taken for April 19, 1963, Arkansas Gazette article "No Rebel Yells But South Wins Fayetteville," B1:2. On the porch of the historic Jonas M. Tebbetts House in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas, the dedication of a marker was held on the 100th anniversary of the Civil War Battle of Fayetteville. Tommy Massey of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, holds a gold medal that Arkansas Confederates had presented to Confederate General William Lewis Cabell (1827-1911) after the Civil War.
